Julie Durham was named Chief Digital Officer for UnitedHealth Group (UHG) in October of 2023. She is responsible for driving the digital transformation and engineering teams across both Optum and United Healthcare for all consumer experiences.
Previously, Durham served as the Chief Technology Officer at United Healthcare (UHC), where she was responsible for leading the engineering teams across UHC for all consumer experiences and Operations. She has over 20 years of engineering experience and has also held several senior leadership positions across UHC/Optum, as well as positions at Best Buy, SAP, Al Futtaim, ExxonMobil, and GE. Durham has successfully led cross-functional and matrixed organizations of up to 5,000 engineers in diverse industries and markets including Asia, Middle East, Europe, North and South America.
Durham is on the advisory board of Karat and the Board of Minnesota Technology Association. She was named one of the Top 100 Leaders in Tech 2023.
Durham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY.
