Hara is a Principal at RMI within its Climate Intelligence program, which leverages data, standards, and demand pulls to create climate-differentiated markets. She was previously a climate tech venture ecosystem builder and investor. She cofounded Third Derivative, a global startup acceleration platform, and led its catalytic investing fund and co-investor ecosystem platform. She led and supported early-stage venture investments at Braemar Energy Ventures, focusing on digital energy, advanced materials, and industrial decarbonization. She also worked in strategy and business development at Eos Energy Storage, a zinc-based battery storage startup. She started her career as a management consultant and volunteered as a product designer with TechnoServe’s Cocoa Program in Cote d’Ivoire and as a micro-grid engineer with the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia.
