Ed McLaughlin is the President and Chief Technology Officer at Mastercard, where he oversees the company’s global technology functions, including its payments network, enterprise platforms, and information security. As a key member of Mastercard’s management committee, Ed drives innovation across the company’s technology infrastructure. His tenure at Mastercard includes roles such as Chief Information Officer and Chief Emerging Payments Officer, where he spearheaded major digital strategies and platforms like Mastercard Send and the Mastercard Digital Enablement System (MDES). Before joining Mastercard, Ed held leadership positions at Metavante (now FIS) and co-founded Paytrust. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and has completed the AI: Implications for Business Strategy Executive Program at MIT. Ed received the Forbes CIO Innovation Award in 2019.
