Talk Format & Description

Key Presentation Guidelines

Keep sessions between 30-60 minutes with 10 minutes for Q&A (if required) or we also welcome multi-day content workshops

You don’t need a final title, just one that clearly shows what you’ll cover. Keep it specific, skip the buzzwords, and focus on what the audience will walk away with.

This helps us, and attendees, get what your session’s about and why it matters. Optional, but encouraged. Tell us what folks will walk away with: a tool, technique, or mindset they can use.

Technical Workshops

Workshops are hands-on and highly interactive. They’re meant to teach attendees something they can apply right away. Whether you’re walking through code, demoing tools, or guiding a collaborative session, your workshop should have structure, clarity, and practical takeaways.

We’re looking for topics rooted in real experience, like working with LLMs, AI infrastructure, prompt engineering, or model fine-tuning. We’re also excited about subjects like scalable API design, advanced Git workflows, cybersecurity strategies, and building in cloud-native environments. If you’ve built it, debugged it, or shipped it, there’s something valuable you can teach.

What sets Women Who Code Summit apart is our focus on deep technical content, real innovation, and what’s coming next. Use these themes to help shape your topic and submission:

Generative AI & LLMs

We’re looking for sessions that go beyond theory. Think hands-on work with prompts, model training, infrastructure, and the tools pushing this field forward.

Share how you’re using data and technology to improve performance, health, or recovery. Teach through real-world examples—wearables, biofeedback, machine learning, and beyond.

Show how AI is changing the ad game. Discuss automation strategies, audience targeting, content generation, or ethical approaches to personalization.

Share practical insights into securing systems, protecting data, and building privacy-first products. This track is especially relevant for engineers working in high-risk environments or scaling secure systems.

Use your platform to share how tech is shaping culture, whether it’s storytelling and media to activism, brand-building, or identity. Speak to the bigger picture and connect the dots between your work and the digital world.

Tip: Choose a theme that aligns with your expertise, but don't be afraid to explore intersections between multiple themes for a unique perspective!

Walk through how you’re building or scaling AI products. From infrastructure to deployment to cross-functional collaboration.

Demonstrate how AI is reshaping customer acquisition, personalization, and conversion. Focus on tactics, tools, and measurable impact.

Show how AI can eliminate busywork and supercharge output. Think automation, smart workflows, and tools teams can use today.

6 Things To Know About Women Who Code Summit:

Technical and Innovative First

The core of our Summit is deep-dive sessions on tools, systems, and workflows that move tech forward. Bring your engineering brain.

We’re not a product-driven conference, the Summit is the product. While companies like HubSpot, Salesforce, and Adobe build conferences around their platforms, we build ours around the people moving tech forward. That means we rely on ticket sales and a few key sponsors—not big corporate budgets—to keep this event accessible and powerful. Every session, speaker, and story has to earn its spot.

We are a premier tech, business, and culture conference where innovation takes center stage, and leadership looks like the future. Think SXSW of New York meets Cannes Lions with game day energy. Our programming is designed for those building what’s next: AI breakthroughs, startup momentum, visionary media, and transformational leadership.

What we expect:

→ Hands-on workshops
→ Provocative keynotes
→ Voices driving cultural change

Our top priority this year is workshops that are practical, hands-on, and built to deliver real, actionable takeaways. If you’re leading in infrastructure, managing engineering teams, or working on the future of blockchain, ML, prompt engineering, or product development, we want your insights.

Teach Us Something
We’re looking for talks that leave people with new skills or frameworks they can put to use right away. Whether it’s a workflow, code pattern, or live demo, give attendees something they can apply on Monday.

Talk Big Picture
What’s changing in your part of tech? Tell us about the trends, systems, or market shifts that are shaping how we build, lead, and scale.

Nail the Title
Your title is your first impression. Make it specific, bold, and scroll-stopping. Avoid clichés and keep it focused on what the session actually delivers.

Go Deep on Leadership
If you’re submitting to the leadership or career track, spell out exactly what attendees will learn and why it matters. Be clear, not vague. Want to submit more than one talk? Do it.

Headshots

Your headshot is essential to your speaker profile and serves as attendees’ first impression of you. Here are the guidelines for submitting your headshot:

  • Format: Please upload your headshot in JPG or PNG format. We’ll use this for your custom speaker graphic, so make sure it’s high-quality. No one wants a pixelated moment.
  • Size: The image should be no smaller than 900Ă—900 pixels, if possible.
  • Submission: A headshot is required for all speakers. If you do not provide one, we will seek out an image online.
Bios

A compelling bio is crucial to showcasing your expertise and engaging with the audience. Here’s how you can make the most of your bio:

  • Submission: Please provide a brief speaker bio, approximately 5-7 sentences.
  • LinkedIn: If a bio is not provided, we will first check your LinkedIn profile for this information.
  • Drafting: If we cannot find a bio on your LinkedIn profile, we will draft one on your behalf.
