NetworksWomen Who Code

Women Who Code produces 1,500 free technical and professional workshops each year for a total of over 6,000 events including major international conferences like CONNECT and WE RISE and Hackathons like Magic City Hacks.

Through these events, WWCode members have learned new coding languages, leveled up their skills, met important contacts, found jobs, connected with peers, gained leadership experience, and developed personal networks.

80% of all members report that being a part of Women Who Code has helped their careers.

These events operate through the 60 local Women Who Code Networks located in 20 countries around the world, and are led by over 500 volunteer Directors, Leaders, and Evangelists.

Between the publishing of this article and the end of the year, roughly 25 days, there are 81 WWCode events planned for locations as far apart as Kyiv, Witchita, Pune, and Singapore. And yet they are all connected by the common mission of Women Who Code, to inspire women to excel in their technology careers.

Historical Perspective

This is an auspicious week as it marks the birth of two of tech's giants; Grace Hopper (12/9), and Ada Lovelace (12/10). These are women that changed the world and left an indelible mark on it forever.

Through our events, through our Networks, Leaders, and Members, Women Who Code seeks to continue the legacy of Grace Hopper and Ada Lovelace, even as women in tech continue to blaze trails and lead the way in innovation.

During the week of Ada and Grace's birthdays, December 9th – December 15th, Women Who Code Networks will be hosting 29 events around the world. That's a total of 4 per day!

The only way that we can make all of this magic happen is with your help. Sign up to WomenWhoCode.com, find the Network nearest you, start attending events, volunteer, step up as a leader, and please donate whatever you can on the Network and Global level.
