Earlier this month Women Who Code teamed up with RMOTR to give 10+ full-tuition scholarships to the WWCode community for their Data Science and Web Development with Django programs. Combined, they equaled up to $15,000 worth in value that RMOTR is donating to the WWCode community! Thanks RMOTR for helping us strengthen diversity in tech.

There are plenty of reviews online saying that RMOTR is a great place to learn Python online, with live classes, mentoring and career support. However, we wanted to give you a more real time opinion from people currently participating in their programs. Here’s a short alumni spotlight about some of the scholarship winners from this month.

At the beginning of the course: I had the idea "I am going to take a course something like many others, I will not be nervous and that's it" but with RMOTR it’s different! Since the first day all of the classes are very interactive, I share opinions, ideas and any doubts that I have. It is really a virtual class, and across the weeks there is always something new to learn, as well as activities and platforms to help us. I love to share in a class with people from all the world  Also, mentors host an extra class during the week and are very nice. It's exciting because I've been learning a lot and it is only the first weeks, how could be my improvement at the end of the course? I am very grateful to RMOTR and Women Who Code for this opportunity, I will do my best.

Classes have been wonderful so far! I really loved how the content is challenging and fast-paced without being overwhelming. The way it's set up (with lesson cards and real-time classes) makes it easy to stay on top of things and build up the knowledge without leaving any gaps. There's also a lot of support in case you need it, so you never feel backed into a corner when tackling the work.

The first few weeks at RMOTR have been very interesting and quite challenging as the course is really intensive. I am glad that during each live class session the instructor takes us through one practical project to help us gain a better understanding of the videos watched and code challenges solved prior to the class. Secondly, I like the fact that RMOTR makes use of test-driven development (TDD) in all their projects allowing you to test your code as you work. Before starting this course, I tried learning how to code in python several times on my own but always gave up along the way. But within these few weeks the packed assignments and comprehensive class sessions have kept me committed to learning to code in python.

My experience with RMOTR has been a good one so far. The first few weeks were very fast paced but I definitely learned a lot right from the beginning. The teachers are knowledgeable and during class the instructor actually writes code while you follow along. I like the fact that the classes are totally online in the evening because it fits into my work schedule. The mentors are available an hour before class and during the week if you have questions. The exercises and projects are challenging but you can go back to them as you learn more and better understand the material. If you are serious about learning to code RMOTR is great option.

I truly am enjoying myself here at RMOTR. I did a bootcamp previously for Software Engineering and the one thing I really wanted to gain more knowledge was on Data Science and Python. My classmates are all so friendly and the teachers really know a lot of information. Our classes are fun and we are learning a lot. My instructor comes to help us on other days just so we have all the help we need. The projects really help you understand what you are working on. You truly become a part of a community that cares about your work and are always there for you.

RMOTR’s scholarship program runs periodically every couple of months. If you are interested in getting a FREE spot at RMOTR’s online programs stay up to date by following @rmotr_com on Twitter. New scholarship application will be announced soon.
