WWCode Announces Winners of the Applaud Her Awards: 100 Technologists to Watch

World’s Largest Women in Tech Community Recognizes 100 Technologists For Their Leadership, Accomplishments, and Contributions to the Industry
ATLANTA – MARCH 28TH, 2023 — Women Who Code (WWCode), the largest and most active community supporting diverse women in technology, is proud to announce the winners of the Applaud Her Awards: 100 Technologists to Watch. This list honors the accomplishments and impact of diverse women in the industry and consists of technologists, innovators, and leaders worldwide working in various technical fields.
Nominations for the Applaud Her Awards: 100 Technologists to Watch opened on January 20th and closed on February 28th, with the winners being announced on March 28th. Applications were considered by a committee of 12 tech industry leaders. The winners include diverse women from countries worldwide working in various fields, including Aerospace, Fintech, Data Science, DEI, and Environment. They range from CEOs, CTOs, and Founders, to mid and entry-level technologists that have accomplished incredible things. See the complete list here and below.
“There are so many diverse technologists who are doing incredible things, innovating, building, and creating the future every day,” said Alaina Percival, CEO and Co-Founder of Women Who Code. “These awards are a way to celebrate that, to highlight the roles we are in and to inspire others to be and become leaders in this field.”
In addition to the 100 Technologists to Watch, Women Who Code will also recognize twelve individuals with specific awards, including Global Impact Award, Empowering Tech for Social Good, Outstanding Executive in Tech Award, Emerging Technologist Award, WWCode Mentorship Award, Leading Change Award, Excellence in Engineering Award, WWCode Founders Award, Inspiring Innovation Award, and two WWCode Mission Awards. Seven individuals will also be given an Applaud Her Award for individual fields.
All of the winners of the Applaud Her Awards: 100 Technologists to Watch were announced on March 28th and will be celebrated through the following ten weeks across the Women Who Code communications channels, including social, blog, podcast, and video. Winners will also receive digital certificates and awards packages from Women Who Code.
The first Women Who Code Applaud Her Awards were held in 2014, where six individuals were honored for their accomplishments in the industry. Since then, it has grown to be an essential part of Women Who Code’s mission as a platform to elevate the work of women from underrepresented groups in the industry and change the public perception of tech.
