Issue 127

We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.

You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.

Released

During this week's sprint, we started introducing an exciting new social feed feature to Network pages and made some updates to improve the speed and efficiency of our product.

Networks Page RSS Feed
– We began implementation of individualized social media feeds that will be displayed from a Network's Facebook / Twitter / LinkedIn page directly on their WomenWhoCode.com Network page.

Replace Filepicker gem with javascript
– We added React components to replace the Filepicker upload button on job postings and admin pages and updated the method used to source social media images.

Better Error Handling on Slugs Controller
– Sends a 406 for all bad formats (i.e. "something.exe" or "wp-login.php"). This controller only handles html reducing the need to look up formats we don't handle.
– Exceptions no longer raised when a slug is not found.
– An apple touch icon was added.
– Slug specs moved from controller to request.
