The Global Nonprofit’s Newest Network Will Provide Training, Events, and Mentorship to Local Engineering Community 

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – April 25th, 2019Women Who Code (WWCode), the world’s largest and most active community of engineers dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers, is proud to announce the launch of a Network location in Indianapolis, Indiana. This group will support the local tech community with free technical, career, and leadership development events while advocating for a more fair and inclusive tech industry through key partnerships with companies in the area. 

Women Who Code Indianapolis will launch on April 25th with the inaugural event taking place at the offices of MetaCX. The Network will be led by founding Directors Courtney Corlew and  Fatemeh Hajizadeh who will be tasked with planning and delivering technical programming, building a community of technical professionals committed to showcasing and growing diverse leadership in tech, as well as empowering members of the group to step up and take on positions of Leadership themselves. 

"Indianapolis has been very inviting to women in technology, which made the decision to bring Women Who Code to Indianapolis easy,” said WWCode Network Director Courtney Corlew. “I wanted to be surrounded by like-minded women in my community so that we could all create and nurture relationships with one another. Being able to have that support in this industry is very important. I'm excited to see this community grow."

Women Who Code Chief Leadership Officer Joey Rosenberg said, “Fatemeh and Courtney are strong, passionate, inspired leaders, that have already done so much to build the foundations of this Network. With their guidance and the support of the incredible engineers of this city, I feel confident that WWCode Indianapolis will have a deep and lasting positive impact on the local tech community.”
