World’s Largest Women in Tech Community Hosts Global Event to Inspire and Empower Engineers with Leadership Tools and Strategies

Berlin, Germany – October 4th, 2018 — Women Who Code (WWCode), the world’s largest and most active community dedicated to inspiring women to excel in tech careers, announces the We Rise Berlin: WWCode Leadership Summit. This landmark event, taking place October 13th at Wooga GmbH in Berlin, Germany, will feature industry leaders and peers providing best in class leadership development designed exclusively for engineers by Women Who Code.

Participants in We Rise Berlin will gain practical advice and pro tips from real-world tech industry leaders and luminaries and create an action plan that defines forward emphasis on building out their skill set. This will be reinforced by workshops which attendees will be able to self-navigate allowing them to attend specific sessions that are aligned with their self-identified goals within the leadership model.

Women Who Code Global Leadership Director Joey Rosenberg said, “the Summit is a chance for us to take everything that we have learned from our Global Leadership Program, and distill it down into practical lessons that we can communicate directly to our members. This is incredibly powerful for tech leaders, and I’m so excited to be able to share it with our community.”

There are currently over 500 engineers taking part in Women Who Code’s Global Leadership Program. By participating, they gain access to valuable speaking and media opportunities, mentor roles, and are elevated to a position of leadership in their local tech communities. Of those involved, 80% report that their careers have changed for the better within the first year.

We Rise Berlin is being supported by a number of generous sponsor companies including Springer Nature, Wooga, Native Instruments, Coup, BCG Digital Ventures, All The Tech Things, Deloitte GmbH, SoundCloud, Futurice GmbH, Architrave, Mesosphere, HelloFresh, Delivery Hero, Novoda, Babbel / Lesson Nine GmbH, Wayfair
