World’s Largest Community of Technical Women Hosts Developer Conference Featuring Diverse Speakers and International Audience

ATLANTA – MAY 10TH, 2022Women Who Code (WWCode), a 290,000-member global nonprofit dedicated to inspiring diverse women to succeed in technology careers, is excited to announce Women Who Code CONNECT Recharge 2022. Taking place on May 26th this developer conference will feature diverse industry leaders hosting talks and workshops which will cover a variety of career development and technical topics.  

Speakers at CONNECT Recharge will join the conference from around the world to share their wisdom, experience, and insights. Hands-on workshops will give participants the chance to try out real-world applications in a live and guided environment. Networking opportunities will be available including the ability to connect one on one through chat and video. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact directly with representatives from tech companies and submit their resumes to a database. 

The CONNECT Recharge schedule has been published and some of the distinguished speakers who will be in attendance include Ramya Authappan, Engineering Manager, Quality at Gitlab Inc., AmyJune Hineline, Senior Community Manager for Opensource.com at Red Hat, Alexandra Martinez, Developer Advocate at MuleSoft, Huma Hamid, Product Manager at Cisco, Ninti Chance, Software Engineer at Google, and Magdalena Stenius, Machine Learning Engineer at Valohai. 

“Our CONNECT conferences showcase the incredible diversity that exists in the technology industry and in leadership positions,” said Women Who Code Chief Program Officer Shanna Gregory. ”We call the conference CONNECT because it allows us to bring people together from around the world in support of that diversity and one another’s careers.” 

The CONNECT Recharge conference is supported by a number of companies who believe in Women Who Code’s vision of a world where diverse women are better represented in technology and leadership. Women Who Code hosts a number of CONNECT conferences throughout the year focusing on different topics and communities. Last year they held CONNECT Reimagine in June, CONNECT Asia in July, and CONNECT Forward in November, which focused on career navigation rather than technology. The organization also hosts nearly 2,000 technical and career events on a local level annually.
