World’s Largest Organization Dedicated to Empowering Diverse Women to Succeed in Tech Careers Celebrates Developers in Latin America With Premier Spanish-Language Event

ATLANTA – OCTOBER 6TH, 2022 —Women Who Code (WWCode), the largest and most active global community of diverse women in technology careers, is proud to announce the CONNECT LATAM developer conference, which will take place on October 13th. The all-Spanish language event will feature accomplished industry speakers from Latin America, with talks and workshops designed to explore exciting technologies while empowering attendees with tools to connect and grow their professional networks.

CONNECT LATAM 2022 will be a digital event experience connecting attendees through the online Hopin platform and guiding them to relevant talks given by esteemed tech industry leaders. Technical topics on code and emerging technologies will be accompanied by career navigation talks to empower the professional lives of attendees. Workshops will give participants the chance to practice on real-world projects, and networking features will allow attendees to connect and grow their professional networks.

“I’ve been dreaming of this moment,” said Grecia Castaldi, Women Who Code Program Manager, Digital Community, when asked what she thought when Women Who Code announced the conference. “We always have conferences and events in English, and I can understand both languages, but Spanish is my first language. I was hoping for this to happen.”

CONNECT LATAM has confirmed several esteemed technologists to speak at the conference, including Noemi León, Lead Engineer at Athenaworks, Antonella DeCaro, Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Salesforce, Andrea Monserrat Arredondo Rodriguez, Business / Data Analyst at IBM, Diana Carolina Colin Ochoa, Software Developer at TelusLabs, Jacqueline Rihan Topete Tellez, Digital Business Analyst at HSBC, and Luz de León, Front End Team Lead at Accenture

Women Who Code hosts premier CONNECT developer conferences throughout the year. This is the first Women Who Code CONNECT LATAM and the organization's first major developer event hosted entirely in Spanish.
