Diversity in Tech’s Women Who Code Organization to Host Events Bringing Engineers From Around the World Together for Training and Empowerment
San Francisco – March 2nd, 2017 — Women Who Code (WWCode), a 501c3 dedicated to helping tech professionals achieve their career goals, announces the WWCode CONNECT 2017 series, with events taking place in San Francisco, California, Bangalore, India, and Atlanta, Georgia. These conferences will showcase the talents of a diverse range of engineers and technical leaders from around the world who will share their stories and expertise about technology, trends and career advancement. 2017 is the third year that Women Who Code has hosted WWCode CONNECT events.
Women Who Code CONNECT 2017 #WeRise is taking place on April 29th at Twitter HQ and is being supported by the local WWCode San Francisco Network. The all day technical event will highlight the talents of a diverse range of engineers from around the world with in-depth panels, technical workshops, keynotes, and leadership training sessions. .
Confirmed speakers for WWCode CONNECT 2017 include Cynthia Maxwell, Director of Engineering at Slack, Amy Gershkoff, Chief Data Officer at Ancestry, Jennifer Fraser, Director Data Engineering at Twitter, Dr. Mona-Lisa Pinkney, Sr. Director, Governance, Risk, Corporate Information Security at Nike, Merline Saintil, Head of Operations, Product & Technology at Intuit, Aubrey Blanche, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Atlassian and more.
Women Who Code CEO and Board Chair, Alaina Percival spoke about the importance of the event, “WWCode CONNECT is always a powerful experience. The Women Who Code worldwide conference series started off with Women Who Code CONNECT India which took place on March 3rd, at the offices of VMware in Bangalore, India. Following Women Who Code CONNECT SF in April, the third event in this series will be the We Rise, Women in Tech Conference which will be held in Atlanta June 23rd – 24th.
