Women Who Code (WWCode), the worlds largest and most active community dedicated to inspiring women to succeed in tech, is proud to announce that we now have 167,000 members around the world! The organization has also hosted more than 8,000 free technical events, through our Networks located in 60 cities and 20 countries.

This member count is up from 137,000 last year, showing a 20% growth year over year. It is also a testament to the increasing prominence of Women Who Code, as we continue to have a profound effect on the lives and careers of women in tech everywhere. And when asked, over 80% of all members of the organization report that their careers were positively effected within one year of joining.

In this past year, WWCode has also announced the launch of a Global Leadership Program that currently counts over 500 members, who are being specially prepared for the challenges of leadership roles in the industry. Through opportunities, coaching, mentorship, and developmental events, these people are being given the knowledge and experience to be and become a driving force in technology.

In addition to the growing member count, Women Who Code has also been expanding into new locations, with a cohort system that includes potential Networks in over 30 cities. In conjunction with the Global Team, Leaders from each of these cities have been working hard to lay the infrastructure for the next stage in growth for the international nonprofit.

As Women Who Code continues to grow, our mission remains true. we host an average of 1,900 free technical events each year and have given away $2.5 million in scholarships and conference tickets. Our annual CONNECT and We Rise conferences are the pinnacle of industry events, and we have begun producing global webinars to share our teachings with a wider audience.

More than ever the impact of Women Who Code is being felt in the industry. But we still need your help. Join a local Network, sign up to be a mentor or Lead, run a class, help your fellow members, and in turn you will grow in your career so that together, we can build a better tech industry, today, and for the future.
