December 14, 2017- Farzaneh Orak and Matt Madson presented an “Introduction to Programming Paradigms: Functional and Object Oriented Comparison”. Members learned about the differences between procedural and declarative programming and compare and contrast the styles by way of example. Topics included: encapsulation, polymorphism, pure and higher order functions as well as a discussion of state management.
