Welcome back to our ongoing series, “Code of Balance” – your monthly wellness toolkit designed to offer insightful self-reflection activities, provide supportive resources, share affirmations to uplift your mindset, and even curate a motivating Spotify playlist to keep you inspired all month long. Let’s embark on this collective journey of mutual accountability for achieving overall balance. This month, our spotlight is on Gratitude. Join us as we delve into the power of appreciation together.

As a woman in tech, you navigate a dynamic and often demanding landscape where your contributions are invaluable, yet the path may seem filled with obstacles. But what if there was a simple yet powerful tool that could significantly enhance your journey and help you thrive in this male-dominated industry? Enter gratitude—a transformative mindset that can empower women technologists to conquer the tech world with confidence and positivity. Did you know, according to the Mayo Clinic,  “Feeling thankful can improve sleep, mood and immunity. Gratitude can decrease depression, anxiety, difficulties with chronic pain and risk of disease.”

By regularly practicing gratitude, you can experience benefits such as improved decision-making, enhanced creativity, increased altruism, and so much more that can ultimately lead to a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. Whether you’re a woman in technology or anyone pursuing their dreams, gratitude is a powerful tool that can improve your day-to-day life and help you navigate the ups and downs of the modern world with grace and resilience.

❣️Just a reminder, we are not mental health professionals – just your techie besties sharing what works for us! If you are experiencing any health issues or mental health crises in the workplace, please contact your People Team/HR or a mental health professional.

Affirmations for gratitude

An affirmation is a positive statement you say or think that reinforces self-belief or personal goals. Research tells us that affirmations work because of neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections in response to learning. You can change your brain by changing your thinking, which can support a more constructive mindset.

Take a few minutes, find a quiet place, and read or listen to this month’s WWCode affirmations on gratitude for diverse technologists.
